Mood: Great
The sounds of light footsteps pounded throughout the gravel street along with the clanging of a sword and the swishing of a pure white cape. But along with those were the almost inaudible flapping of pitch black wings.
“Magnus, stop right there!” The origin of where the footsteps was pounding announced. The voice belonged to a young man no older than eighteen, he had long blonde hair and eyes that mimicked the color of jade. His expensive clothes and ornate sword gave off the image of being a nobleman. From a sash across his chest he took out three vials with a clear liquid in them. He threw them upward which then exploded with a white light. The explosion illuminated a figure in black, floating in the air on dark bat wings. Knowing that he has been noticed he turns around mid-air to meet the overly excited youth. The flying man had an extremely androgynous look to him, he had high cheek bones, pale skin and long eye lashes which was only complimented by his long dark hair that fell to his bare stomach. The beautiful man was wearing a leather vest that was opened and barely covered his chest with matching leather sleeves and pants. He wore a dark purple rose corsage on his left shoulder and he had a strange butterfly marking on his stomach and he wasn’t wearing shoes that revealed long slender feet.
“What do you want?” He folded his hands over his chest.
“Are you not Magnus the incubus?” The young man asked taking out another vial.
“Yes and you are?” The incubus descended upon the young man and took a closer look. “Blonde hair, green eyes, uses vials, fluttering white cape, you must be Cyril Marquis, what does a vampire hunter want from me?” Magnus swooped in and was now no more than an inch away from the hunter.
“You spirited away my best friend, I want him back!” Cyril grabbed Magnus with his open hand.
“You really need to think your plans over, if you kill me with one of your potions how will you get your friend back?” Magnus asked the flustered adolescent.
“That, doesn’t matter, just give him back or I shove this down your throat.” An embarrassed Cyril shook the vial in his hands.
“Oh chemistry, it may be effective on lower creatures but I’m an incubus and I’ve lived for a thousand years, I am much stronger than science.” Magnus said as he swiftly kicked Cyril in his stomach making him double over. “Come back in twenty years, or at least when you can use magic like other hunters.” He started to fly away leaving Cyril on the cold paved ground gasping for air. Cyril with the last of his breath threw his vial at Magnus, it exploded right behind him and the brunt of it hit him causing Magnus to make a crash landing stomach first. “Oh how did I get myself into this situation?” Magnus asked a higher being as he started to cringe on the ground.
“How’s that science for you now, you demon?” Cyril got up to his feet and walked over to the fallen incubus and grabbed him by the back of his head, gripping a handful of soft hair. “Now where’s my friend?” Magnus laughed.
“How should I know, I am not interested in kidnapping people, it’s not my style you know? I’m sorry but your friend’s in another castle.” Magnus squealed. Cyril threw Magnus’ head to the ground. “But you know vampires just love abducting people.” Magnus said putting the emphasis on the word “love” as he turned around and sat up.
“Why should I trust you, you’re a demon.” Cyril said with a frustrated tone. He drew his sword and pointed it to Magnus’ neck who grabbed the blade with his beautiful fingers and forced it down with grace.
“Because I’m not a cretin, you know they admitted to being liars.” Magnus gave a seductive smile, a trademark amongst demons of the night.
“Tch.” Cyril sheathed his sword.
“Good boy, now you know incubi have no intention of stealing a guy’s best friend, we just love pleasure so I’m sorry but you have the wrong guy, I don’t swing that way.” Magnus stood up and tip-toed behind Cyril.
“What is your purpose in helping me?” Cyril asked.
“Oh our little mess a few minutes back was just a itsy bitsy misunderstanding that’s all, I’m just going to show you that not all creatures are evil.” Magnus smiled with bright glowing fangs. Cyril started to relax as his shoulders dropped. “That’s better, well I heard there has been a vampire stealing up people, you should go chase him.” Magnus stated as he made motions for wings.
“Oh really?” Cyril asked, unconvinced.
“Incubi despise vampires for taking away our women the succubi and also because they give us a bad name.” Magnus joked walking in circles.
“So you want revenge?”
“Not revenge, justice which humans are so great at dealing, am I right or am I right?” Magnus asked with enthusiasm. Cyril then started to ponder, putting his gloved hand on his chin. “Oh come on, why would I lie?” Magnus asked and put his arm around Cyril’s shoulder, his skin was as warm as a fire.
“Well my friend and I have matching time pieces, if you see something like this, you’ll know where to find me.” Cyril said as he took out a silver pocket watch with a cross engraved into it. Cyril then started to walk away. Magnus chuckled under his breath and turned away.
“Oh this is going to be fun.” Magnus said as he procured a replica of the pocket watch as he took off with his wings into the night.
