Day 43

Mood: Energized
Sety swung her sword in practice. She was alone, no one to help her. But yet she continued to swing her sword vertically, up and down tirelessly. She wanted to get stronger, she didn’t want to be left behind. She couldn’t determine whether she was confident in her abilities or not but she just had to get stronger. Everyone else was so why shouldn’t she? She was good at using magic, much more so than Cyan but that wasn’t saying much. Her role allowed her to be a jack of all trades but she wanted to master them. She had to join the front lines so she started training. Swinging a sword was hard for her, she was small and her arms were thin, so strength was an issue for her. If she swung her sword long and hard enough it would become light and easier to handle when the situation arose. She was counting her swings silently in her head. As the numbers climbed she started to smile seeing her progress made her happy. In the depths of the woods her sword collided with the air. She started to sweat but it didn’t bother her, she had to continue. Then she heard footsteps and she turned around quickly with her sword still in hand. It was Justice, her loyal comrade and protector.
“It looks like you’re practicing. You shouldn’t just swing, you need sparring practice, and for that you need a partner.” Justice said and nodded his head from under his helmet. Sety nodded as well.
“Sure, but please, go easy on me.” Sety requested as she bowed and then took a stance.
“I don’t plan on hurting you and I won’t use my sword. So now, let’s begin.” Justice took a running start and executed a backflip kick. Sety instinctively guarded with her sword. She took a sigh of relief and saw that sparks were flying off her weapon, Justice’s kick had the same properties of a chainsaw, just like his sword. “Lesson 1, you have to infuse magic in all of your blows, since you’re a mage it’s easy for you to do, but not for someone like Bone or Laylea, take advantage of this.” Justice said as he flipped over and delivered another kick. With Sety’s other hand she created a magical wall.
“Protect!” Sety chanted and it blocked the kick. Justice propelled himself off and landed safely away. “Fire!” Sety launched a fireball from her magical gauntlet. Justice backflipped and dodged the blast and jumped into mid-air.
“Hell’s Fang!” Justice chanted as from his hand multiple blades of dark energy rained down on her. She jumped back and prepared another spell.
“Shell!” Sety formed a magic blocking shield and the blades dissipated before they collided. Justice then broke through the shell with ease with his hand and knocked her in the forehead.
“Lesson 2, your magic is a part of your mind and you can easily cancel it, if there is no hope for it to land, destroy it and go for a physical blow.” Justice jumped back again. “Now again. Hit me harder!” Justice egged her on and Sety wiped a bead of sweat off her face.
“Blizzard!” Sety fired a large shard of ice at him. Justice swiped it away. “Thunder!” Sety brought down a lightning bolt on Justice’s head who rolled out of the way.
“Dead Spike!” Justice created an orb of energy and launched it with a powerful bicycle kick. It then turned into a large spike of darkness. Sety charged towards it and quickly went under it almost touching her tall red hat. The spike hit the ground with a large explosion. Sety went for Justice with her sword pointed towards his heart. He easily caught the blade.
“Lesson 3, don’t think because you made a simple dodge the enemy will be confused. Always expect the unexpected.” Justice threw her back. “Now again.” Sety took a stance again.
“Chain cast. Fire, Blizzard, Thunder. Fusillade.” Sety then started to fire multiple fire and ice bolts at Justice who swiped them aside and occasionally dodged them. She then ended with a long stream of lightning from her hand.
“Obsidian Shield!” Justice chanted and a large orb surrounded him. Sety stopped the stream of lightning and jumped up with sword in hand.
“Bravery!” Sety chanted and her sword glowed orange and she broke the shield which was surrounding Justice but he was not inside. She looked for any sign of him but he wasn’t there. She then felt the back of her head being hit so she turned around and Justice was behind her.
“Good job, you definitely got stronger. Same time tomorrow?” Justice asked as he started to walk away.
“Totally.” Sety smiled and skipped off to practice her swings again.
