Mood: No feelings
“Celice.” Silk called out to her friend as she attempted to navigate the darkness around them. Her voice, like her discipline was silent. So silent in fact that not even elephants standing a few inches from her could hear her. She wondered whether it was a gift or curse but it was nothing to be worried about at the time. As a ninja she could easily find her amongst the rubble but for some reason it was especially hard, probably since she was tired, the result of a long lasting battle with Opalescence. Her vision was fuzzy and fading. Her breathing was heavy and all she could hear was a loud ringing from the constant clash of metal upon metal. “Celice, are you there?” Silk asked making her way amongst the debris. She then felt her foot come upon something soft and fleshy. She stepped on it a few more times, trying to make it out.
“Ow.” Celice groaned and Silk performed a quick backflip. The gladiateo
“Sorry.” Silk apologized and bowed her head.
“Oh, it’s okay, man it feels like I got hit by a truck or something.”
“No, Angela simply hit you with a large hammer into the ground, then it caused an earthquake. And that’s how we ended up here.” Silk assessed the situation.
“Oh great, so I got hit with a truck full of hammers.”
“Is that some form of metaphor?”
“Yah it is.” Celice rubbed the side of her head and took off her helmet. Her long brown hair cascaded down her shoulders, though filled with rocks and dust it still was wavy and beautiful, Silk’s hair was black and neatly put into a ponytail, a contrast of their styles. “How are you doing, you okay?”
“Yes, I’m fine right now, however it’s dark and my vision isn’t doing so well. However we must move forward.” Silk said and began to walk. Celice followed behind with her sword clanging at her side.
“Hey, what happened to you, how come you were dragged down with me?” Celice asked the ninja.
“It’s because I tried to stop the crash, however it was not enough to stop you from breaking the earth. So I came down here with you.”
“It doesn’t sound that way, it’s more like you were dragged down here.”
“However you want to put it.”
“Well thank you for saving my life. I owe you.”
“No thanks necessary it’s okay.” Silk tried to explain but Celice insisted.
“Oh come on Silk, really I have to thank you.” Celice tried to grab Silk. Silk writhed under her grasp.
“Let go please, I’m okay.” Silk said but Celice shook her head.
“Come on. Let me apologize.” Celice pleaded but Silk simply disappeared. “Where did you go?” Celice looked around.
“Sorry. I’m over here.” Silk reappeared from a few feet away on top of rocks. “You are my friend, I do not need a reason nor a thank you.” Silk said. Celice walked over to Silk. “So I don’t need any appreciation.” Silk said.
“But it’s because you’re my friend that I need to thank you. And also hug you.” Celice then hugged Silk.
“I see.”
