Mood: Finally
In the sky above flew Aless on her summoned esper. She was running away from everything hoping to get out of the war some way without dying or getting killed.
“I’m sorry for chickening out guys but I hate this war, I just hate it. How can those guys stand it Bahamut?” Aless asked her esper, the king of the dragons Bahamut. The dragon rolled its eyes to Aless and retorted with a loud snort, steam coming out of its scaly nostrils. The beast obviously could not speak, though its response spoke volumes. “But come on, me fight? How are they kidding, I can’t do anything right, I’ll die if they just throw me into the heat of battle.” Aless sighed at her creature. She then raised her eyebrow. “Wait why am I talking to you, you’re a dragon, you can’t reassure me or anything.” Aless said and the dragon this time moved its head back at her. He was utterly offended by her brashness. “Oh come on, you’re a dragon right? What are you supposed to do?” Bahamut snorted again. He then looked down upon a mountain and opened his mouth. “What are you doing Bahamut?” Aless asked him and his only response was launching a giant fireball at the ground causing a massive explosion. After a few seconds the land was bare and all life was completely demolished. “Whoa, you can do that?” Aless asked and Bahamut nodded his head. “But I’m not fighting, you may be strong but I’m not, as soon as they get through you, I’m good as dead. I’m not made of scales or armor, or whatever you guys are, I’m just flesh and blood. One person runs a sword through me and I’m history, and I’m up against that genius god Paradigm, not someone like Magnus, he doesn’t want to fight either. Sigh what can I do without you guys?” Aless complained and Bahamut just simply looked away from her, almost upset that he couldn’t appeal to her with his awesome power. He had no idea why he was dealing with her anyway. He then thought of an idea to make her courageous, it was a long shot but he had to take the chance. He wiggled his long neck a bit. “Wait, what are you thinking of?” Aless asked. Bahamut then turned completely upside down. Aless desperately grabbed on, wrapping both her arms and legs around the beast’s neck. “Don’t let me go dammit. I don’t want to die. AH!” Aless screamed, Bahamut pretended he wasn’t listening. He continued to fly upside down. Aless tried to scream again but the wind made it hard to do so. She became very dizzy. “Stop it.” Aless said. “Come on.”
“Only if you agree to fight.” A voice called out to Aless.
“Who was that?” Aless looked around. Bahamut turned back.
“T’is I child, the king of all espers, Bahamut.” Bahamut’s voice filled her head.
“How are you doing that? But I thought you’re a creature, you can’t talk.”
“Child, you underestimate the power of us, we are the greatest force in the universe and we are your weapons, the mere fact that you summon us takes great power. And even in distress, fear for your life I, the strongest of them all was able to remain, you have proven your worth, can you not see this fact, or are you as blind as that god of knowledge?” Bahamut asked, though obviously he was talking his mouth was not moving, he was telepathically talking to her.
“Wait, blind, he can’t see?” Aless asked confused.
“Not physically but he is blind to your power, in fact he is blind to all power besides those from the realm of broken dreams. He is not used to your realm’s potential.” Bahamut stated.
“I see then.”
“Understand, now do you want to go back?”
“I guess so, you threw me for quite the loop.”
“It was the only way to make you learn.”
“Sure it was, sure it was.”
