Mood: Stressed
“Why if it isn’t Adrian Farenheights Tepes.” A sinister voice called out to a young white haired man while on his knees, praying but to what exactly?
“Armster. What is it you require from me?” Adrian asked as he stood up. His eyes were a piercing blue which brought out his androgynous features. “Do you not need to find your destined foe?” Adrian grabbed the handle of a sword buried in the ground and pulled it up. It was a longsword with a name inscribed on its blade.
“Heh, I can kill the geomancer boy anytime I want. However your foe, what is his name again? Dios, he is their leader. Kill him and you break their morale, and then it makes killing them that much easier.” Joachim said as he put his hand on Adrian’s shoulder.
“He will fight me when he is ready.” Adrian brushed off Joachim’s icy hand and walked away.
“You are nothing like your father Tepes, too human.” Armster snarled and snow white fangs jutted out of his mouth. “If your father didn’t sleep with that harlot he wouldn’t have been killed so easily. He was the lord of darkness, king of the night and he lost that role because of you and your tainted blood.” Adrian turned around and retracted a pair of fangs that matched Armster’s.
“How dare you speak of my mother that way, turned one.”
“At least I am not a dirty half-blood.” Adrian then pulled his sword to Armster’s neck who responded by surrounding his head with five symbiotic swords. “Your father gave me freedom from that damned Walter Bernhard and then you killed him because of those damned humans!” Armster drew the psychic swords closer.
“You were human once as well, do you not remember what it felt like?”
“Of course not, it has been hundreds of years since Walter turned me. However you are but a dhampir, a reject to both vampires and humans, my powers right now can easily exceed yours.” Armster smiled but Adrian did not see the humor. Joachim then snapped his fingers and the swords fell on Adrian’s head and into the ground but Joachim did not hear the sound of pierced flesh. Instead he felt mist fly into his face. Adrian’s sword was then put to the back of Armster’s neck.
“Yes but you forget who my father is too easily and it is my human blood that makes me stronger.” Adrian’s once blue eyes started to glow red. Joachim felt his life draining bit by bit.
“Dark metamorphosis, an ability specific to the Tepes family vampires, I’d never think you could inherit it.”
“Do not underestimate me Armster.” Adrian lowered his sword and his eyes returned to their natural color. “You should not take humans so lightly. They are very resilient, stupid creatures.”
“Stupid, I have no fear of idiots.”
“Their stupidity makes them much harder to defeat.” Adrian stated.
“Is that what allowed you to kill your father, your idiocy?” Armster asked.
“No, it was love.”
“You loved a human, preposterous!” Armster started to laugh hysterically, believing that what he said was impossible.
“It was not my love for a human, but his love for his son that lead to his downfall.”
“I won’t accept that as the truth, he was the strongest vampire in existence, he did not have compassion or love, his soul was shattered, he only lusted destruction and entropy.” Armster said near flustered. Adrian shook his head.
“This is why you can’t be strong, my father remembered that he was once human and accepted that it was still a part of him. That’s why he fell in love with a human and allowed his son to slay him in order to end the dissonance.”
“Inconceivable. Vampires should not have any emotions, only desire to destroy, we live in darkness-”
“You know the boy named Justice?” Adrian interrupted Joachim’s rant.
“What does the enemy have to do with this?” Armster asked annoyingly.
“That boy is seeped in darkness, can you not smell it?”
“Yes, but I do not see your point. He is not a vampire, he is much weaker than you are.”
“He is stronger than you are, I’ve seen him truly fight and he is near unstoppable, he is probably stronger than I am. Do you wish to know his secret?”
“Stronger than I am, I should kill you for thinking that.” Joachim grabbed Adrian’s
“I asked you, do you wish to know the source of his strength?” Adrian’s eyes glowed red again. Joachim let go. “Thank you. The source of his strength is his friends, they believe in him and he believes in them. And that’s why he can fight, even when he is outnumbered and beaten.” Adrian said as he started to walk away.
“A sap, that’s what he is, a symbiotic parasite of one’s soul, I will not accept it.”
“Than you will not learn the true meaning of strength.” Adrian said as he walked off into the pale moonlight.
