Mood: Relieved
“How did we get lost?”
“How am I supposed to know?”
“Did you flip the map upside down Igrene?”
“Of course not Echidna.”
“Then what the hell happened you two?” An armored girl fell most literally from the sky.
“Vika. Igrene flipped the map and now we’re lost.” The girl known as Echidna complained. Igrene hit her in the back of the head.
“No I didn’t. If you would stop whining maybe then I would have been able to focus, but no. You just had to have your little soap opera.” Igrene’s red hair bounced under a green hat.
“So we’re not getting out of here.” The armored girl, Vika sighed as she laid herself down next to a tree. She took off her helmet which was likened to a dragon’s head. She then started to meditate. “It looks like Astro and Mordecai are here but they are way off. Justice, Jems and Sety are by themselves to but Justice is closing in on Astro.” Vika said as her eyes opened revealing dark slits, like the eyes of a reptile. “I also sense Aeon and Joachim Armster here, they’re going for Astro and Mordecai. I don’t sense Le Cage, Death Scythe or Alice so we’re safe.” Vika broke from her trance and stood up and grabbed a spear planted in the ground. She wobbled a bit, most probably tired from using her powers of scanning.
“What about that Dizzy girl?” Echidna asked.
“No, but if she were close I would definitely feel her aura. There is no way to avoid it once you’ve sensed it once.”
“Why?”
“It’s terrifying, it’s probably because what she is.” Vika put her helmet back on her head concealing her light brown hair.
“But Alice and Le Cage are both artificial causality weapons too, aren’t there auras the same?” Igrene asked slinging a bow over her shoulder.
“Not in the slightest, Le Cage’s is colder and Alice is more spontaneous and bursting at the seems, kind of...” Vika paused. “Dizzy’s is frightening, it just is overwhelming like a thousand people screaming in her soul at the same time.” Vika grabbed her chest, like her body her hand was armored. Specifying that Vika was more suited to the front lines.
“But you can totally kick Dizzy’s ass, right?” Echidna asked, trying to diffuse the tension.
“Really, I can’t. I don’t think any one of us is capable of facing her alone.”
“Then what about Justice, he’s surviving each battle.” Igrene pointed out.
“Justice is different, he’s more tolerant to Dizzy’s dark power, like someone who lives in the arctic thinks the winter where come from is warm. Since he dabbles in darkness he receives less damage from it.”
“But wouldn’t she be hurt less too?”
“For some reason she doesn’t.” Vika cycled through the information in her head. “Justice uses a different form of darkness, he uses his emotions as a catalyst so it’s specific to him, that’s why his dark magic is so much different than say Zeiss or even Jacoban the mimic.” Vika explained. She groaned and sat back down. “Why am I telling this to you again?”
“Because no one can figure out Justice, he’s an enigma to us all.” Echidna stated.
“Yah, it’s not cool how he’s going by himself and fighting alone, he’s not the only one in this war.” Igrene crossed her leather gloved hands over her chest. Echidna and Igrene did not enjoy how Justice treated others, indifferent to some and over protective to others. No one could figure out his intentions or allegiances. He was a master of darkness, he could switch sides to the forces of chaos if he so desired. “He is the Beast of the Apocalypse, you saw what that Rose chick did to him.” She referred to the moment when Rose unleashed the power of the Beast of the Apocalypse or as she called it, ‘the Black Beast’, and made him go on a destructive rampage, blindly striking out at everything in sight, especially his allies.
“When he turned into the beast it was devastating for us, I know.” Vika shifted her eyes. “But he took control of it, he says it’s sealed inside him now and can’t be released unless he is weak. But with his fighting strength that may take a while.” Vika chuckled. “I trust him, if he says he has it under control I believe him, I don’t think it was his intention to hurt anyone of us. He wasn’t himself.”
“But what is protecting him from the next time? Rose is the strongest out of all of the enemy. She can singlehandedly kill us all.” Echidna said.
“I think he can handle himself.” Vika said.
“Why now?” Igrene asked
“Because we’re here don’t you know, we’ll protect him.”
“Unlikely.” Echidna retorted.
“Totally.” Igrene agreed.
“You never know what friendship can do.” Vika said as she stood up and started walking with her two comrades slowly behind.
