Mood: Inception
“You came alone, correct?” A voice called out in the darkness. It was in the corner of the created world, Wonderland, the home of Alice, the artificial causality weapon created by Opalescence to bring out the latent desire in the warriors of harmony. The voice she called out to was not one of her comrades but a comrade to be. “Vika, the Dragoon... You have nothing to fear, come out, no one will see you. Please, join me.” Alice called out, her pale long fingers, tempting and inviting. Vika stepped forward, afraid of the concept of betraying her friends, but what was her purpose for doing so? Why did she desire the strength that Alice could offer her? And why did she trust Alice, her sworn enemy and rival to the end? One word could sum it all up. Love, Vika was in love with their exalted leader Dios, and she could not stand the thought of being overpowered by the rest, she would use the power to kill Adrian an be with Dios. But what she didn’t know was that it came with a price. A price that was so severe it would change the nature of their relationship for the duration of the war, and not just their relationship, Vika’s relationship with everyone would be altered. Their suspicions of Justice being a traitor would be lifted but replaced with her. The Dragoon of all people being a traitor, was more expected than one would think. They would doubt her, she wouldn’t be the same. But she didn’t know that just yet.
“Yes Alice, I am alone. Are you?” Vika asked under the safety of her dragon head shaped helmet and her thick, heavy armor that would be a memento of what she would be fighting for. Alice nodded slowly, her pitch black ponytail bobbing slowly up and down, her eye widened at the sight of the beautiful young maiden dressed in dark blue metal.
“Oh of course I am, there is nothing to fear here, you desire power and I shall give it to you, it is what you want correct?” Alice asked moving closer and closer to Vika. Her slender arms behind her back, her white military coat stretched out at the shoulders. “It’s okay, drop your guard.” Alice whispered and breathed into Vika’s neck. Vika inhaled and Alice turned herself around. “You are lucky I am such a nice person to help you. I cannot stand the thought of your situation. I take pity on you. such a sweet young girl, well, young to me.” Alice chuckled. “Being so heart-broken over such a dense boy, it’s horrifying.” Alice snapped her finger and a soldier in blue armor, from head to toe appeared holding two small cups on a silver heart shaped platter. She took the drinks and brought them to Vika. The Dragoon hesitated. “It’s only tea sweetie. If you want I’ll take a sip from both?” Alice offered but Vika shook her head.
“I’m just surprised, that’s all.” Vika then took off her helmet revealing a tan face with dark eyes and beautiful long auburn hair drifting down her shoulder. Alice blushed and Vika accepted the tea and took a sip. “Roses?” Vika asked, regarding the taste.
“Yes, unfortunately roses are the only flowers this world has to offer because of that false savior. Though we have dominance over our controlled spaces because we are their architects she still somehow has control over this universe. It must be the influence of her unending power.” Alice pouted and took a sip of her tea, trying to ignore its flavor. “that girl however is worth all the trouble, she can kill you all. But I will keep you safe from her.” Alice said in earnest delight. Vika paused to look at her enemy, she looked defenseless, vulnerable, if they were fighting all Vika would have to do is plunge her spear in Alice’s heart and it would be all over. But only for her but not for Dios. Dios was her main concern.
“Please Alice, I want the power. If I cannot change Dios’ fate, he will perish and we will lose this war without him, and if I win for him. He will see my resolve, he will see my feelings for him. I want him to see.” Vika said and put down her tea cup trying hard not to shatter it.
“Of course my darling and I shall give you that power. Don’t worry, it will be yours. I promise that.” Alice said as she took off her eye patch and after that, everything changed. And the blue faded to black.
