Mood: Excited
Astro and Mordecai grunted as they attempted to wriggle themselves out of a large and nasty tree. They were only having innocent fun, spying on the girls but Justice had to come along and blast them into next week. It was enough to make a man cry when their friend betrays them even though they had done nothing wrong. Besides invade the girls’ privacy but they weren’t privy to that. Astro started to yell loudly, showing frustration. “Damn Justice, why did he have to ruin our fun and he broke the binoculars when he did that Souleater too. Now I have to make a new set. Damn, how did the girls know we were planning this, are they mind readers? Oh, I hate it! And why did Justice use Souleater on us anyway?” Astro complained like a small child shaking the tree with each fit of anger.
“It’s probably because you two are complete morons.” A voice called out above them. The voice was too familiar to dismiss. It was the young man in question, Justice sitting on a branch above their heads looking like an executioner. “It’s what you get for being lousy perverts.” Justice said in a condescending tone.
“Come down here and I’ll teach you a lesson, I’ll show you who’s a lousy pervert!” Astro yelled.
“Oh I already know who’s a lousy pervert.” Justice smiled from under his helmet.
“Cut me down and I’ll beat the helmet right off your head.” Astro challenged. Justice stood up, the branch looked like it would break under Justice’s weight and armor but somehow it stayed resilient.
“Okay I’ll get you down now.” Justice materialized his sword and quickly swiped it through the air. A gust of wind passed Astro’s cheek and then all the branches of the tree snapped and brought Astro and Mordecai tumbling down to the ground. Astro rubbed his head and Justice swiftly jumped down and landed with a soft pat. Astro stood up and materialized his flag poe, the flag blowing in the wind.
“You’re going down now.” Astro jumped up and gave a strong kick which was easily blocked by Justice’s sword. The Dark Knight then shoved the sword forward and Astro backflipped onto the ground.
“You’re not going to beat me with those skills, you can pilfer nothing from this battle.” Justice said as he made a vertical slashing motion and a long shockwave was thrown from his sword. Astro held up his flag and blocked the blow but he was sent backwards. Mordecai watched speechless not wanting to barge in on their duel. Astro twirled his flag around and started a combination of strikes which were parried by Justice’s superior swordsmanship.
“The only time you use your sword is against me? That ain’t cool!” Astro roared as he jumped upward and delivered an axe kick to Justice’s helmet but he simply deflected the attack. Astro huffed as Justice chuckled. “Oh that’s it. Big Wave!” Astro then charged Justice channeling energy through his flag.
“Intriguing.” Justice said as he in turn channelled energy through his blade and they clashed, Astro’s blue energy mixing in with Justice’s black. The clash lasted a long time and they seemed to be even.
“So, you’re ready to give up?” Astro asked with a snide remark. Justice shook his head.
“Sorry but this is where it ends my good friend.” Justice said as he took a deep breath and released more energy which knocked Astro back. He rolled on the ground three times but got up quickly and went back for more.
“Just shut up already you bastard. Big Wave!” Astro chanted as he put out more energy.
“Like I said, this is where it ends. Inferno Divider!” Justice said and he released a shockwave from his sword but he aimed it so that it only grazed Astro sending him spinning. Astro fell to the ground one last time and looked behind him. The entire forest was decimated by the blow. Astro looked at Justice and saw that blood was gushing out of his helmet. “Dammit Astro, you got to learn that you can’t just jump into battle, especially not how you are now. You got to be stronger. You’re lucky I let you live.” Justice said as he fell to his knees. Mordecai then rushed over to Astro’s aid.
“Then I just have to get stronger, that’s all?” Astro asked.
“Yah, that’s all. Now go before I change my mind.” Justice struggled to get up and then walked away slowly.
“Mordecai new plan, Operation: Get strong and beat Justice into a bloody pulp.” Astro stood up and pointed to the sky in triumph despite his earlier loss.
“Sounds great.” Mordecai smiled.
