Day 17

Mood: Sick
Dios, stranded in the middle of the forest in the middle of the woods started to sing, for what reason, nobody knew. Was it to pass time? Was it to impress the animals? Was it to practice? Jasmine appeared behind him from around a thick tree and Dios jumped in surprise.
“Geez Jasmine, you scared me. I almost choked!” Dios exclaimed.
“On what? Air?” Jasmine chuckled.
“No, on miasma, it’s filling the air.” Dios said trying to make an excuse. He couldn’t feel miasma.
“Oh come on D, you couldn’t possibly choke on that.” Jasmine now started to laugh. Even with two swords strapped to her waist she was a young healthy beautiful girl. Dios even with a colossal blade also seemed like a normal teenager. They were obviously not suited to the fields of war yet were able to survive the brutal, almost endless war.
“Shut up, I totally can.” Dios tried to plead his case but it only made it worse. Jasmine held her side as she laughed, she couldn’t contain herself and then fell to the floor. “It’s not funny, miasma is a serious thing, it can kill you.” Dios became louder but Jasmine could not cease from giggling. “Stop it!” Dios yelled as he tried to grab her but she kept rolling on the grass, ruining her kimono.
“Oh Dios, you are so dumb!” Jasmine then started to roll down a hill. Dios kept on following her and he spotted a tree in her path of movement. Dios then jumped over her and picked her up. Jasmine, flustered tried to pull away from him. “What the hell are you doing?” Jasmine jumped out of his arms nimbly and landed herself a few feet away. Dios then pointed to the tree. “Oh, that’s why. Oops. Got caught up in the moment.” Jasmine laughed and walked up the hill brushing off grass from her robes.
“Stop being so dumb, you could’ve gotten hurt. We need you in tip top shape. No holding back.”
“Oh you’re so strict, who do you think you are, Justice?”
“Justice has nothing to do with this.”
“How come? Because he doesn’t listen to you?” Jasmine asked, striking a nerve. Dios was the leader but he could never keep Justice in line, Justice being a dark knight was more prone to go into battle in solitude.
“That’s not it.”
“Why didn’t you choose the role of a Dark Knight? Rather than him. Was it because you think he’s more suited to going mad?” Jasmine asked moving closer to Dios, her hair swaying over her shoulder. Dios’ bangs flew up with the wind.
“Not now.” Dios looked behind him and Jasmine moved to the side and drew her sword. Dios then drew his sword from his back and pointed it straight ahead where two figures stood in front of them. “Adrian, Lucian? What pleasure is it to have you here?” Dios asked the two intruders. Lucian pulled out two revolvers and pointed them at Dios and Jasmine.
“The pleasure of us taking your lives. I don’t like vermin running around. It’s one of my pet peeves.” Lucian’s left eye start to glow. Because of his pact to be a Dead God Lucian the Kid had to sacrifice his normal eye and exchange it with a black void that absorbs souls of the dying. Lucian pulled back the hammers to his guns. “I believe guns are faster than swords.” Adrian stood silently behind him not moving an inch. “Dhampir, do you want the pleasure of killing the enemy’s leader?” Lucian turned his head back for a second his blue hair drifting to the side.
“They are exhausted while we have had time to rest, this is unfair to them.”
“Unfair, don’t you understand the rules of war? No mercy!” Lucian pulled the triggers to his revolvers but they did not sound like the bullets hit flesh but steel. Adrian appeared before the adolescent god opening his hand to reveal two smoking bullets. “Your human side has made you weak.”
“So I’ve been told.” Adrian said.
“And you’re supposed to be the strongest creature of the night.” Lucian grunted. He pulled the hammer back on his guns again.
“You’re but a child, I pity thee.” Adrian pulled up his sword. “You two, run while you can.” Adrian said with a slight smile on his beautiful pale face.
“No man, that wouldn’t be cool, I don’t like owing the enemy a favor.” Dios said as he pulled back his sword and slashed it forward. It then released a mechanism that launched a bladed star at Lucian. He retaliated by shooting the star which fell to the ground a few centimeters in front of his feet.
“Weak, you hope to beat me with this strength?” Lucian asked and suddenly two black wings burst forth from his back. Adrian snapped and pushed the two away and two wings grew from his back as well.
“I command you to leave, you are not safe here!” Adrian yelled as he held out his hand which sent out a large burst of wind and sent Dios and Jasmine flying. To where no one knew. Dios hoped that Adrian would prevail and quell Lucian’s fury. He liked Adrian, he was different from the rest and he knew it. He wanted to seek the light as well.
