Mood: Slipped on the floor while doing an axe kick (That’s a mood ain’t it?)
“I must stop you here Maybell.” A voice called out to the Blue Mage. It sounded as if it came from above. Maybell from under her hat looked up and saw a young girl dressed in a sapphire one piece dress with streaks of white and a black chest plate. She wore a blue beret that covered her long blonder hair and hid her light blue eyes. It was none other than the angel, however an angel in training she claims, Sora Morris. She was one of the few warriors of discord that came from the real world with certain alterations. Sora became a powerful gunner and formed a dance like fighting style that was second to none in accuracy and ferocity. As her named suggested she was of mixed origin unlike Kokoro who simply changed her name. Sora saw her as Kokoro’s caretaker since she knew Kokoro since birth, there was a six year age difference between the two and thus protected her like a younger sister. When Kokoro decided to fight, Sora pleaded to follow. However she could not bring herself to fight like the rest, it was not in her nature. Her only duty was to protect Kokoro, she couldn’t imagine slaying Maybell, but she convinced herself it was for her little sis she loved so much. “I cannot let you go any further, so I must implore you to stop here or I will use deadly force.” Sora materialized her identical guns, they were custom models especially made for her, they were long, white and had two red strings attached to cuffs on her shoulders. She cocked the hammer.
“Dammit Sora I don’t have time for this, my friend is in trouble!” Maybell protested and started to run forward trying to avoid her yet summoned her cutlass preparing for battle. If Maybell’s outfit was black she would look exactly like a pirate. Sora jumped backwards and fired a multitude of bullets in front of her hoping to hit Maybell. “Sora no! I summon the power of the Thunder Drake. Mighty Guard!” Maybell chanted and a golden barrier surrounded her momentarily as the bullets then proceeded to bounce off her. “This isn’t the time, my friend is in trouble. She’s in a bad situation you got to let me pass.” Maybell pleaded with Sora. Sora landed ahead, the look in her eyes not at all sympathetic but rather merciless.
“I cannot, you will hurt Kokoro. I must bar your path for her safety.” Sora loaded her guns again aiming them straight at Maybell’s head and heart.
“What, Kokoro? She has nothing to do with this. Air, Laylea and Silk are in danger, my friends! Kokoro is not there. You must let me go through now!” Maybell begged but Sora shook her head in disapproval. Maybell gritted her teeth. “Then I have no choice. I summon the power of the Antlion. Sandstorm!” Maybell chanted as two sigils came out of her hands and released a flood of sand directed at Sora. She figured that a gunner’s greatest weapon is their eyes and blinding them makes them completely useless. Maybell took this opportunity to run away dashing as fast as her legs could take her. Sora rubbed her eyes, she could not see, she could not find her enemy. However she could not let this small dilemma stop her. She started to fire her guns rapidly in every direction. The structure they were in would easily ricochet the bullets and hopefully a stray would hit Maybell. Maybell saw this as a problem but still ran forward being wary of the bullets. One grazed her cheek but then she realized it was magically charged. Judging by the feel it was a tracking bullet. Now all bullets fired would be honed in on her DNA because of the skin cells that were scraped off. “Dammit!” Maybell quickened her pace. She couldn’t let her friends down, they were in trouble, they depended on her. “I summon the power of the Sprite. White Wind!” Maybell chanted and the wound on her cheek healed. She wasn’t sure it would help but it was worth a shot. Sora turned to Maybell’s direction and fired five bullets in rapid succession. Maybell tucked her head and tried to think of a spell in her arsenal, she was not like Selena who could heal, or Air to protect, or Elf to manipulate time or Zeiss to incinerate everything. She just could do what monsters did to her. Most of her spells came from the assistance of Mana who would control monsters for her. But now she couldn’t fail. Maybell braked and turned around. “I summon the power of the Bakanmykind. Magic hammer!” Maybell chanted and multiple hammers rained down from a glowing sigil and intercepted the bullets. She now was running towards Sora now. “I summon the power of the Ice Drake. Expose Weakness!” Maybell chanted again and she heard a voice in her head whispering to her Sora’s weaknesses and vulnerabilities. Maybell paused and took a deep breath. “And now. I summon the power of the Red Marshmallow. Unction!” Maybell waved her hand and a wave of oil spread itself on Sora’s body. Sora struggled but she simply slipped. “I summon the power of the Fire Drake. Dragon Force!” Maybell formed a circle with her hand over her mouth and breathed a jet of flame, the oil instantly ignited. “Sorry Sora but I got to leave.” Maybell said as she started to run away leaving Sora by herself burning. Sora repelled the flames with magic and acrobatically leapt over Maybell. She was black with smoke.
“I cannot let you go!” Sora yelled and fell over, before hitting the ground someone caught her. It was not Maybell but Kokoro, the girl she was fighting for. “Kokoro-chan...” Sora muttered.
“Come on Sora, you got to stop abusing yourself. Let’s leave, go on Maybell save your friends. You’re strong enough, Sora has been overexerting herself because of me, she’s not at full strength. Go.” Kokoro put Sora’s arm around her and then jumped away. Maybell shook her head, not being able to comprehend what happened and continued to run. Her friends earnestly awaiting her.
