Mood: Exquisite
“I find it extremely rude that Iscariot had to pull me out from my world to engage in this stupid war, but it is entertaining to mess with that girl Guinevere. I do say she’s positively stupid, I could just laugh.” The incubus, Magnus, giggled. “I was being chased by a young man, though he easily could’ve been mistaken for a woman and then ka-boom I’m in this stupid realm. I don’t think it’s fair, not at all.”
“I thought you said it was rude.” Genome, the artificial causality weapon of Paradigm said, quite confused with what Magnus was saying. Despite being the smartest of her kind, the process of having a simple conversation with someone below her intelligence confused her and made her feel uneasy. She squirmed in her spot ever so slightly, unfortunately Magnus was too self absorbed to notice the messages Genome was sending.
“That too but come on, haven’t you ever wanted something so bad and almost as soon as you got it, it was just taken away from you? Come on girl, level with me.” Magnus got uncomfortably close to her and she stepped back, face flushed with embarrassment. She did not have any sort of affection for the monster, although he was very beautiful. Long white limbs, lightly toned chest, affectionate eyes and long blackish violet hair. Normal girls would swoon from his appearance but not Genome. She was more practical, more logical, rational. Genome took a large step backwards. She had no idea what Magnus had in mind. However, Genome stood ready, preparing to materialize her weapon at any moment. She could not allow Magnus to have any form of advantage over her. However this was not Magnus’ intention. All he was doing was venting his emotions to any person that was close to him. If Guinevere was close to him, he would talk to her although it would end in a bloody fight. Magnus had no inkling of an idea what was going through her head, nor did he want to know, his egocentricity wouldn’t allow him to. Magnus pulled back and flipped his long hair and Genome took a deep breath. She would have to write a report on Magnus’ suspicious behavior to her master. “I miss my world, the world of vampires, werewolves and other creatures of the night. I wasn’t exactly royalty among my kind but I was strong and well known. I’ve been in existence for far longer than those pretty boys Adrian or Joachim or those meatheads Cornell and Fenril. And what’s with their white hair? I mean they are old but their magic should keep their appearance young. They treat me like a baby because of it, I’ve been around for over three thousand years! Armster hasn’t been around for even two centuries. I should show him you know? Just because I don’t like brute force and blowing the shit out of things doesn’t mean I’m not strong, I’m like a pacifist you know, I’d rather use wit and cunning rather than muscles and magic. You should understand, right girl? You know what it’s like to be smarter than the rest.” Magnus stated pointing to his brain which he stated, swelled with intelligence. Genome was taken aback, she didn’t know how to respond. She had to take certain precautions, so she responded as best she could.
“Of course Magnus, I completely agree with you, you should show them your intellectual capacity and I promise it will befuddle them. I guarantee it.” Genome forced an awkward smile. Magnus smiled back.
“Thank you, you’ve been a great help to me, oh I’m glad there are understanding people like you around, you’re nothing like Le Cage who just sits around and says nothing. Oh thank you thank you thank you thank you!” Magnus wrapped his spindly limbs around Genome’s frame. Genome completely turned red and her heart, or what substituted it started to pound rapidly. She wanted to leave the embrace but she found it impossible to move considering the position she was in. Her eyes rolled back into her head and Magnus let go, but not because he saw what was going on with Genome but because he was content. Genome wobbled but then stood up straight and astute. “Well ta-ta!” Magnus said and black leathery wings unfolded from his back and he took to the skies. Genome took a breath of relief.
“What am I going to do, this was a most horrifying situation.”
